Lisa Campbell, Managing Director
Lisa has a well-established and successful history of producing events for private investors, beginning in 1996 when she launched her first business, Training for Profit. Delivering one-day investment workshops around the UK for up to 50 delegates each day, the aim was to provide delegates with professional training on topics ranging from fundamental and technical analysis, to portfolio diversification and asset allocation.
These investment workshops paved the way to creating the first large-scale investor event held at London Olympia on 23rd October 1999.
Training for Profit then organised the Sharex, and Index events at London Olympia in subsequent years, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Training for Profit was bought by Incisive Media. After Training for Profit, Lisa worked with St Helen ́s Capital, a firm of corporate financiers based in the City. As well as marketing, Lisa spent time working with young companies, assisting with the fund-raising process and helping to make the businesses “investor-ready”.
Following the birth of her daughter in 2007, Lisa took an extended maternity break, launching Investor Conferences in summer 2010. “Having spent most of my working life speaking with and listening to private investors, I am acutely aware of the need for access to professional financial education and information. From the basics for those looking to begin creating their own portfolio, or to start trading, right through to the more sophisticated and riskier areas – such as early-stage investment in growth companies, and the more complicated financial instruments – investors can always learn more. It is our aim, through these events, to help investors learn as much as possible, to build and safeguard their wealth.”
